Emergency Interim Storm Repair
At the December 21, 2010 meeting held at the Truro Town Hall, the Conservation Commission voted on and instated an Administrative Policy
concerning Emergency Interim Storm Repair. At this same meeting, the
Commission certified the area from Great Hollow Beach to Cold Storage
Beach as an area of emergency due to the active erosion, significant slumping, missing fence sections and structures being undermined. This
policy enables applicants within this "Area of Emergency" to be able to
start repair work through an "Emergency Permit" - while filing and going
through the Notice of Intent process with the Commission.
