Conservation Bylaw

At Annual Town Meeting in April of 2010, a Conservation Bylaw was voted on and passed.  It was officially approved by the Assistant Attorney General on September 13, 2010.  During the months following its approval, the Conservation Commission went to work on making their first regulation. 

Sand Drift Fences

Dune FencePrior to Annual Town Meeting, in February of 2010, the Commission had created a policy regarding sand drift fences called the Coastal Management Plan, in response to all the coastal damage from the winter storms.  They further reviewed that same document and revised it at the October meeting.  The next step was to bring it to a public hearing for a final vote; it was approved and instated at the November 1, 2010 meeting and titled
