A CLC energy audit qualifies you to receive free compact fluorescent light bulbs, which CLC will install for you to replace your old, wasteful incandescent bulbs. Also, receive improved low-flow shower head and faucet aerators, air sealing for comfort and energy savings, as well as a bulk purchase fuel co-operative membership to provide lower fuel costs through your current local fuel supplier. CLC also covers at least 75% of the cost up to $2,000 to install recommended insulation, and you may even qualify for a Zero-percent interest loan for energy efficient home improvements.
Additional savings are available through rebates for "Energy Star" purchases as well as a Federal Tax Credit.

How does it work?
If you’re on the Grid, you’re currently paying 7.7 cents per kWh for polluting, CO2 producing, environmentally degrading electricity. NSTAR will provide 50% renewable electricity to power your home for 8.6 cents per kWh (.9 cents more per kWh.) Or NSTAR will provide 100% renewable electricity to power your home for 9.3 cents per kWh (1.6 cents more per kWh.) This is how the renewable electricity program works: When customers purchase renewable energy, NSTAR is then obligated to increase the percentage of renewable energy it purchases from its suppliers.
