Fire Safety

Smoke Detector The Truro Fire Department would like to share with you some fire safety tips: 
      
  • Be sure your smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) detectors have fresh batteries.
  • If using candles, do so safety.  Never leave lit candles unattended.
  • Maintain your heating equipment with a yearly cleaning.
  • Don't use gas stoves or ovens for heat.
  • Do not use space heaters as your #1 heating source.

The Truro Fire Department is always happy to answer any questions you may have regarding fire safety. 

Membership and EMT Class

The Truro Fire Department is accepting applications for membership and an EMT (emergency medical technician) class will be held at the Provincetown Fire Department beginning in January. Further information is available by calling the Truro Fire Department at 508-487-7548.
