Cape Cod Highland Lighthouse

The Highland Links Golf Course in North Truro started the weekend in grand style. Jim Knowles, PGA professional, really had the spirit. He provided musician Mike Pyle doing his Woodstock version of the Star Spangled Banner to give the runners at the Highland Light a good send-off at the 8th annual Ocean-to-Bay 5-mile-run.

Highland Lighthouse Receives ALF "Keeper of the Light Award"

One of the awards presented by The American Lighthouse Foundation at its annual lighthouse gala was the “Keeper of the Light Award.” The Highland Museum & Lighthouse, Inc. was honored as, one of the award recipients for their dedicated efforts to save a Cape Cod legend, Highland Lighthouse, from being lost to erosion. About the Cape Cod Highland Lighthouse

Cape Cod’s oldest lighthouse, locally known as the "Highland Light," is officially named "Cape Cod Light" on the NOAA nautical chart for the region. It sits perched 120 feet above the ocean in the Highlands of Truro.
