Memorial Day Weekend

Highland Links had over 500 golfers over the Memorial Day Weekend, and all enjoyed the beautiful landscape. The weather helped all Cape businesses and all surrounding golf courses. It was the first weekend to kick off the summer and all staff are back in place and picking up where they all left off last season. The Snack Bar Grill was fired up and many folks enjoyed a Burger and a cold beverage on the back deck. Many non-golfers also took advantage of the great food and fully stocked Pro Shop.

Weed Warriors Wanted!

WeedsProfessional Jim Knowles and Superintendent Stuart Eyman are calling out to those who love the "Links" to volunteer as "Weed Warriors." Under the supervision of Jim and Stuart the Warriors will reduce the negative impact of the invasive weeds growing on the Links course. This will positively enhance the open areas so the natural wild grasses and other compatible vegetation can thrive. There are certain sections on the course that need to be taken care of in crucial landing areas of your ball. Tools and equipment will be provided. If you are interested in becoming a Links Weed Warrior, please see Jim at the Pro Shop. Be a steward of this historical open space.

Planning Your Golf Outings

Tom, Jim, Mike

As we move into June and guests arrive it is time to start planning your golf outings. Remember, you can call seven days in advance to make a tee time at Highland Links. If you make a reservation more than seven days in advance you will need to pre-pay for the greens fees. Just a reminder so you won't get shut out over the 4th of July holiday.

"Golf is the closest game to the game we call life. You get bad breaks from good shots; you get good breaks from bad shots - but you have to play the ball where it lies." - Bobby Jones

Watch the short video on the Links website, and you'll be inspired for the new season!
