eBooks now Available for Kindle and Kindle Fire
The CLAMS Digital Downloads website (powered by Overdrive) now supports Kindle (as well as many other readers and devices). Download directions may be found on the bottom of the homepage on our website (www.trurolibrary.org). Select “Digital Downloads” and look in the left hand column for Kindle. Downloads to Kindle require the use of your computer and an Amazon.com account; downloads to the Kindle Fire don’t require the use of a computer.
“Make Your Website Work Harder”, a two-session workshop offered by Sarah Johnson (eTruro.com) will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18 and 25 from 6:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m. Geared toward small businesses, this workshop provides an understanding of how your website works and how people respond to what they see online so that you can be sure you’re representing your business in the best possible light. Pre-register at info@trurochamberofcommerce.com for this informative workshop co-sponsored by the Truro Chamber of Commerce and the library.
Second Saturday Science Sessions with Lucy Gilmore
Saturdays, January 14, February 11 & March 10
Drop by and explore several discovery based science play stations featuring balls, magnets, magnification and much much more. Geared for young toddlers and preschool aged children.
Gaming @ your library
First and Third Saturday of the month at 12:30 p.m.
Second and Fourth Thursday of the month at 1:00 p.m.
All kinds of Wii games and new board games will be available for your playing pleasure.
Open to all ages and abilities.
Knit or Knot, the weekly needlework group, now is meeting Tuesdays, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on the library’s lower level. This friendly group welcomes new members!
Truro Tots Playgroup (ages birth to 3 years with parent or caregiver) meets Mondays from 9-11a.m. This activity is free of charge to participants and is sponsored by the Town of Truro. For information, please contact Maggie Hanelt (508-487-2693).
