FOR THE KIDS

There are on-going programs, such as

Contest at the Truro Library: “Dewey Numbers in the News”

Remember those Dewey Decimal Numbers?  Like to win free books?  Dewey Decimal Numbers are not a thing of the past, and the Librarians in Truro are out to prove it.  Until August 30th, the Truro Library is having a contest in which several Dewey Decimal Numbers are given; and you must identify the subject.  All the topics have been featured predominantly in the news this summer.

Just stop by the Library and fill in the topic for each number.  It is a fun and easy way to test your sleuthing skills.  Not sure what a Dewey Decimal Number is?  Ask your Librarian.

Your correct answers will be entered into a drawing.  Each of the five winners of the drawing will win a gift certificate to the Library bookstore, Books Down Under, run by the Friends of the Truro Public Library.  The contest will run until August 30th.  The winners will be notified on August 31st.   Thanks to the Friends of the Truro Library for sponsoring the contest.  Questions?  Call 508-487-1125.
