A Christmas Tale In Truro...
the sky was clear,
children knew Santa
soon would be here. They kept their eyes
fixed on the sky waiting for a glimpse
of the jolly red guy. It was said he traveled
with eight tiny reindeer, in a sleigh packed with toys
and all of his gear. But the reindeer were resting
until Christmas eve, and jolly St, Nick had a
trick up his sleeve. He came in a helicopter,
rounding the light! and the kids cheered
at the wonderful sight. ,
and I thought to myself
as the 'copter touched ground, only in Truro
do such adventures abound! - poem by Maureen Burgess |
