We've started development of our new long-range plan and are holding the first of two Community Forums on Wed. Jan. 19 at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Center. All Truro residents are invited to attend - we need your input in order to develop plans that meet the community's needs, interests and priorities. Light refreshments will be served. Hope to see you there!

Candle Making Workshop, Thurs., Jan 6, at 12:15 p.m., for ages 7 and up. Limited participation, phone the library to pre-register (508-487-1125).

All children are welcome to join the Kids' Yoga Session with certified YogaKids International instructor, Cynthia Starosta, on Wed., Jan. 12, starting at 3:30 p.m.

Experimental Dance Theater with Rebecca Burrill is a series of 6 workshops on Wed. afternoons Jan. 12 through Feb. 16, from 4:15 p.m. till 5:15 p.m., for children ages 6 and up. Workshops will build the structure for a collective story "performance".

Susan Travers, director of the COA, will speak at the Friends of the Truro Library meeting on Wed., Jan. 12. Her topic is "COA: Not Just a Place to Sit". Coffee is served at 9:30 a.m. and the presentation is at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome.

Ken Russo of Provincetown will give an illustrated presentation at 6:30 p.m. on Wed., Jan. 12 on his 2010 trip to Tanzania, where he spent 3 months working with HIV-positive children and orphans of AIDS victims. Presentation includes a short video, excerpts from his journal; and he'll share some gifts from the children he helped care for.

The Truro Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Truro Public Library, is presenting two workshops on website marketing. The first, "Make your website work harder", puts the focus on general business issues. It will be held on Tuesday, January 4th, 6PM in the Anne H. Brock Community Room at the Truro Library. The second workshop, geared for artists, will be held on Tuesday, January 18th, 6PM, also at the Library.
