Kid’s Second-hand Swap

Bring in your children’s gently used stuff on or before Dec. 3 and take away whatever you’d like from 9:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3.

Curb Appeal - Holiday and Other Songs, Thurs. Dec. 8, 4:00 p.m.

Join us for an entertaining concert and sing-along with the a cappella group, Curb Appeal, a quartet comprised of members of the Cranberry Shores Chorus of Sweet Adelines International. Cranberry Shores Chorus is a Cape-based group of women singers with a strong and proud tradition of song and friendship, dedicated to advancing the musical art form of a cappella barbershop harmony. All are welcome.

Angel Tree Gift and Cookie Distribution, Wed. Dec. 14, 9:30 a.m.

FOTL reminds all that Angel Tree gifts are due to be delivered to the library no later than 9:30 a.m. on Wed. Dec. 14 so that they can be transported to the Homeless Prevention Council for distribution. Also, the Friends will be assembling cookie packages for distribution to Truro shut-ins. Donations of homemade cookies will be appreciated gratefully.

A Remembrance – the Photographs of Russell E. Hunt is on exhibit in the Anne H. Brock Community Room through December. Compiled by Pat Canavari and family, these are photographs of the Outer Cape taken in the 1960s and ‘70s. Come and take a peek at Truro, Wellfleet, and Provincetown 40 and 50 years ago.

eBooks now Available for Kindle

The CLAMS Digital Downloads website (powered by Overdrive) now supports Kindle (as well as many other readers). Download directions may be found on the bottom of the homepage on our website (www.trurolibrary.org). Select “Digital Downloads” and look in the left-hand column for Kindle. Downloads to Kindle require the use of your computer and an Amazon.com account.

Knit or Knot, the weekly needlework group, now is meeting Tuesdays, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. on the library’s lower level.

Truro Tots Playgroup (ages birth to 3 years with parent or caregiver) meets Mondays from 9-11a.m. This activity is free of charge to participants and is sponsored by the  Town of Truro. For information, please contact Maggie Hanelt (508-487-2693).
