Don't forget the annual Book and Bake Sale from 9 till noon on August 6 - rain date Sunday, August 7! We have a great selection of books this year and expect the bake sale to include a large variety of items. If you can help with the book sale, please contact Dianne Eib at 508-349-2752. Anyone interested in contributing to the bake sale is asked to contact Meg at the library at 508-487-1125.

The Truro Library Book Group meets the last Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.

Hal McIntosh is exhibiting a selection of his paintings throughout August in the library’s Anne H. Brock Community Room as well as on the lower level.

The Cape Cod National Seashore, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in August, has an exhibit this month in the display case in the periodical reading room.

Tues., Aug. 2, 10:00 a.m. 4-H Coastal Connections presents World of Dolphins: Learn about local sea life, make a craft to take home. For ages 7 & up. Limit 15 participants; please phone to sign-up (508-487-1125).

Wed., Aug. 3 6:30 p.m. Come to the Quirky Circus! Ellen Anthony uses found treasures and recycled junk to create unique puppets to tell their own stories. All are welcome.

Fri., Aug. 5, 9:45 a.m. Companion Animal Program: READ your favorite stories to a friendly DOG!

Tues., Aug. 10 6:00p.m. Join us for our Annual Ice Cream Social with ice cream donated by Sweet Escape.

Tues., Aug. 10 6:30 p.m. A Bird’s Life will be presented by a Cape Cod National Seashore ranger. Learn about the world of birds, play bird games and take an outdoor ramble to listen and identify the caller.

Wed., Aug. 31, 6:30 p.m. Eastern Coyotes/Coywolves  This indoor-based activity will introduce participants to Eastern Coyotes/Coywolves and will include pictures, video, skulls and furs, oh my. Presented by Cape Cod National Seashore Ranger Jon Way.
