Sergeant Craig Danziger
Craig Danziger was promoted to Sergeant on March 25th, at a ceremony attended by officers from Provincetown, Wellfleet, and Yarmouth Police Departments. He has been with the Truro Police Department a total of 15 years. He has worked in almost every facet of the department’s operations. Also, he has been involved with a majority of the department’s biggest cases.
Danziger has attended the MPTC Basic Sergeants' Training mandated by the state. Additionally, he has attended several leadership courses over the years. His training has prepared him well for the next step here in the department.
Sergeant Danziger is extremely well liked by the community. He is known throughout the Cape as one of the best police officers out there and is very well respected by his peers and the command staff of the Truro Police Department. In fact, every member of the department endorsed him to be the next sergeant. This is seldom the case in any organization, which highlights Officer Danziger’s long-term commitment and contribution to the department. Along with these accomplishments, he has been peer reviewed, which consisted of numerous “tough” questions and scenarios. He did well on this to say the least.
Currently, Danziger has taken on a leadership role in working with the rest of the Cape Cod police departments in planning the public safety aspects of the Pan Mass Challenge this summer.
Danziger is truly an asset to the department and to the community. He has a very strong work ethic and a leadership style which matches the mission and vision of the department. He deserves this opportunity to join the ranks of the command staff, who have collectively with the help of every department member, made this department as great as it is today.
