Have you seen the new Art of the Americas Wing at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston? The Friends of the Truro Library have arranged a bus trip to the MFA on April 20. The bus leaves the library promptly at 8:00 a.m. and returns at approx. 5:00 p.m. Cost of the trip is $50.00 (prepaid by April 13) and includes transportation and gallery admission ($35 MFA members). Bus will arrive at the MFA at approx. 10:00 a.m., your visit will be self-guided, lunch may be purchased there, and the bus departs at 3:00 p.m. The featured exhibit in the new wing is "Chihuly: Through the Looking Glass". Stop by or phone the library (487-1125) to register.

On exhibit through April

"The View From Here," created by Nauset High School's Advanced Portfolio class for 2010, showcases the students' responses to the Cape landscape. Their designs for the CCNS 50th Anniversary logo contest include winner Joe Fish.

Upcoming Events

We're joining the rest of the Cape and Islands libraries in April to celebrate CLAMS' 20th Anniversary! There will be cake at the library on Tuesday, April 26. Everyone is invited - the Truro Central School students will be at the library, also, for their monthly visit.

The Truro Library Book Group meets the last Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. The title for April 27 is "Let the Great World Spin" by Colum McCann.

The Tuesday Book Group will meet next on May 3 to review Nicholas Kristof's "Half the Sky." All are welcome.

Author Program: Peter Trull, "Closer to the Great Whales," Wed., May 4, 6:30 p.m. Local author, naturalist, and photographer Peter Trull will give a slide presentation based on his latest book.

Author Program: Elizabeth Bradfield, "Common Threads: Seven Poets and a Wealth of Readers," Wed. May 11, 6:30 p.m.
