Reading & Discussion
Wed. Nov 3 at 6:30 p.m. author Mary Zeiss Stange will read from and discuss her book, Hard Grass:Life on the Crazy Woman Bison Ranch. Mary is professor of women's studies and religion at Skidmore College. Copies of the book will be available for purchase. All are welcome.
This Month's Book Group Selection
The November selection for the Library Book Group is Rafael Yglesias' A Happy Marriage. Copies may be picked up at the library. The meeting is at 6:30 p.m. Wed. December. 1.
Angel Tree
Once again this year, an Angel Tree will go up in the library in mid-November. Sponsored by the Friends of the Truro Library in conjunction with the Homelessness Prevention Council of Lower Cape Cod, the tree will be hung with paper angels coded to needy children in Truro and the Lower Cape. Watch for the tree - in past years angels have been adopted quickly. Your generosity is greatly appreciated by those less fortunate in our community.
Used Books - Bargains
Looking for a gift idea? Books Down Under, the Friends' year-round used book store, is open during normal library hours on the library's lower level. It is well-stocked with many current and vintage titles, all of which have been donated to the Friends. Stop by and pick up some incredible bargains!
