Angel Tree at the Truro Library
The annual Angel Tree is now up in the Truro Library and this year it's truly loaded with adorable angels to be "adopted" for the holidays! Our tree bears 120 handcrafted angels, each representing a needy child on the Lower/Outer Cape.
Stop by and select an angel, sign it out at the circulation desk, make or purchase a hat, scarf and mittens for the child (include a book or a toy if you like) and return the gifts and the angel to the library by Dec. 7. The Angel Tree is sponsored by the Friends of the Truro Library in conjunction with the Homelessness Prevention Council of the Lower/Outer Cape.
The Friends of the Truro Library will meet on Wed. Dec. 8 at 9:30 a.m. to package the Angel Tree presents for delivery to the Homelessness Prevention Council of the Lower/Outer Cape in Orleans and to assemble packages of cookies for delivery to shut-ins in Truro. All are welcome to participate in these activities.
