Annual Luncheon is Dec 5th

The Friends of the Council on Aging's annual luncheon will be held at noon, Dec 5 at Montano's Restaurant. There will be hot appetizers, salad, homemade bread and a choice of chicken Parmesan, chicken Milanese, baked sole or prime rib (vegetarian dishes also available). Dessert and coffee complete the meal, at a cost of $20. Cash bar. To reserve a seat, call John Monahan at 487-1829 before Wednesday, Dec 1st.

Each month, the COA Gallery exhibits the work of a different local artist. The Gallery is under the direction of Eleanor Meldahl and coordinated by Girard Smith. This month's and next month's artists are highlighted below.

Amanda Reed is a year-round Truro resident since 2005. She is the Director of Certification Programs and Curriculum Development for Blackboard, Inc. Previous to that she was an Assistant Professor at the Boston University School of Public Health.

Amanda serves on the Town of Truro's Water Resources Oversight Committee, is a trustee of the Truro Conservation Trust and a board member of the Cape Cod Viewfinders camera club.

Amanda is an avid nature photographer with a special appreciation for birds. She will share images from the Galapagos Islands, Bonaventure Island in Northern Quebec and from Cape Cod.

The opening reception will be held on Sunday, January 9th from 2pm to 4pm. All are welcome.
